The structure will use over 100 Tonnes of steelwork on a piled sub-structure to provide the 3-storey extension to the existing building, including basement storage, two levels of function and meeting rooms and a residential apartment.
The building was modelled and analysed in two separate models (upper structure and basement) using the powerful MasterSeries Building Design Suite.
The steel, concrete and timber elements, including the curved beams and the floor beams with web openings, were designed with the integrated design modules.
