2021 MasterSeries Year in Review

Posted on in About

Like 2020, 2021 was a challenging period for many of us. However, it also presented opportunities for learning, change, and growth. We are proud to have been part of your last year and our services helped you to make the most out of it.

We’ve put together a quick look at our 2021 at MasterSeries and wanted to share some of the highlights with you.

Cloud Licensing Revolution

To provide more flexibility and wider accessibility to your whole team, in early 2021, we introduced Cloud Licencing.

Sharing a dongle-based licence among several users can be a real problem, especially those times, when most of us need to work remotely. The new MasterSeries cloud licensing system solves all these issues.

Increased PowerPad capabilities

In January 2021, MasterSeries introduced the PowerPad 2021 design suite allowing even bigger modelling, analysis and design capabilities.

To give engineers the power to improve their productivity, PowerPad frame analysis and design member limit was elevated to 200 members. Furthermore, PowerPad offers limited finite element analysis to model and analyse small surfaces such as slabs, raft foundations, piled slabs etc.

MasterSeries 2021

Just before the summer, we released the 2021 version of the MasterSeries with many great enhancements, including one of the most frequently requested developments to calculate long term deflection including load sequences, creep, cracking & shrinkage.

Moreover, MasterSeries 2021 brought a new bi-directional MasterSeries-Tekla interface which provides even more possibilities to share your models with your colleagues and partners. The new tool offers full control over your model exchange process, by allowing you to review all the changes both in the MasterSeries and in the Tekla model.

Hints & Tricks Webinar Series

Last year we had a Hints & Tricks Webinar Series, where we covered all the questions and issues received by our support team and showed you our best practices.

In Part 1, we talked about how to effectively model buildings in MasterFrame. During the webinar, we presented how you can build up a new model from scratch using structural objects and editing tools. We also showed our best practices to validate a structural model.

In Part 2, we talked about Finite Elements since it raises many questions both in modelling and analysis. How to model common structural types such as flat slabs, transfer slabs, rafts etc. How you can validate and make your FE model error-free etc.

It doesn’t matter if you are new to MasterFrame or just refreshing or improving your modelling and analysis knowledge, these webinars can be interesting training for you.

Learning Centre

We invested a lot of hours into upgrading, re-recording, expanding and reorganising our online video portfolio. From basic getting started videos and tutorials and webinars they are all easily accessible from inside the MasterSeries Resources tab or directly from HERE.

Subscription Licence

In mid-2021 we launched our MasterSeries Subscription Portal, offering an alternative option to our traditional perpetual licence

We assurance our perpetual licence holders that this will not in any way impact your investment in MasterSeries. We will continue to fully support your perpetual licence and will offer ongoing upgrade options and software maintenance under similar terms to the present.

Stay tuned in 2022 too! We are working on several new features and improvements for you!

Join our Mailing List to be the first to hear about upcoming versions, new features and webinars.
