MasterSeries Training Workshop: Introduction to MasterFrame & Integrated Analysis and Design Modules
We’re excited to share our recent MasterSeries Training Workshop: Introduction to MasterFrame & Integrated Analysis and Design Modules
Whether you're a new user, a student, or simply looking to build confidence in using MasterSeries for real-world structural design, this 1-hour practical session is the perfect starting point.
What You’ll Learn
This workshop is designed to give you a hands-on introduction to setting up and analysing a 3D structural frame using MasterFrame, and then exploring how the integrated design modules tie into that analysis model.
You’ll follow a complete example step by step, learning how to:
- Create a 3D frame using MasterFrame
- Define levels, spans, sections, and loading
- Use the auto-load case generator to apply ULS & SLS combinations
- Run the analysis
- Design structural elements (steel, concrete, timber, pads, etc.) using the integrated design modules
- Export the model to MasterSeries LCA for embodied carbon evaluation
Who This Is For?
This workshop is ideal for:
- Engineers new to the MasterSeries ecosystem
- Existing MasterSeries users who want to learn more about MasterFrame and it's advanced analysis and design modules integration
- PowerPad users looking to understand more about the features and limitations of the suite
Tools Covered
This session showcases how the modular MasterSeries system works together, with a focus on:
- MasterFrame – for modelling and structural analysis
- Finite Element Analysis - for concrete slab analysis
- Wind Analysis - for applying wind loads based on the site data
- Load Case Generator – to streamline the creation of complex ULS and SLS combinations
- MasterKey Design Modules – including steel, concrete, pad bases, and more
- Steel Design - for steel members
- Moment & Simple Connections - to connect the steel members
- Concrete Design - for pad bases and ground beams
- Timber Member Design - for flat roof joists
- Concrete Slab and Wall Design - for the design of the concrete ground floor slab
- MasterSeries LCA – to measure embodied carbon directly from your model
